Steven Crusenberry – Bassist
Steven Crusenberry, a native of Rocky Mount, NC, discovered his passion for music in his teenage years. At the age of 15, he was drawn to the rhythmic allure of drumming, but it was his later encounter with the bass guitar that truly captivated his heart.
Inspired by his supervisor, Frank Mills, Steven delved into the world of bass guitar and quickly fell in love with its soulful resonance. For five years, Steven dedicated himself to honing his craft, playing in a youth band and discovering the power of music to connect and inspire.
After a hiatus from playing bass, Steven found his way back to his musical roots when he joined New Life Church of Rocky Mount in 2019. In 2020, he eagerly embraced the opportunity to serve on the praise and worship team, reigniting his passion for the bass guitar.
Today, as the bass player for Mercy Street Worship, Steven finds fulfillment in using his musical talents to glorify God. His devotion to serving in ministry knows no bounds, and he embraces every opportunity to uplift and inspire others through music.
Outside of music, Steven is a proud father to his son, Jackson, whose presence in his life serves as a constant source of inspiration and motivation. With unwavering faith and boundless enthusiasm, Steven’s love for praising and worshipping God through music shines brightly, leaving a lasting impact on all who hear his joyful melodies.
